PES 2014: Licences Revealed

Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has detailed the additions to its PES 2014 title’s roster of official licences. The game is available now for PlayStation®3, Xbox 360® and Windows PC, and boasts a wealth of new competitions and teams.

KONAMI is committed to adding as many officially licensed clubs and elements to the series, and this year has added the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) Champions League, with all 32 teams from the ten participating countries fully licensed within the new game. The AFC Champions League has been recreated within a dedicated mode, and perfectly complements PES 2014’s exclusive use of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League tournaments. KONAMI has also secured the official rights to Argentinian Football Association licence, with 20 AFA Primera División Teams faithfully replicated. The South American Copa Libertadores competition also returns in its exclusive entirety.

These new agreements bolster PES 2014’s already impressive team rosters. Returning to the game are the fully licensed clubs from the Italian, Spanish, French, Dutch, Brazlian, Chiliean, Latin American, and Asian top-flight leagues. Additionally, individual club licences have been obtained as well to enhance the UEFA Champions League mode with the likes of Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Bayer 04 Leverkusen CSKA Moscow, Kopenhagen, Galatasaray, Benfica, Porto, Celtic, RSC Anderlecht, Schalke 04, Zenit St. Petersburg, Olympiacos Piraeus, and Shakhtar Donetsk.

PES 2014 also benefits from a wealth of officially-recreated national squads, including the likes of European giants, such as Italy, England, Germany, Spain, Portugal, and France. Similarly, teams from the Asian, African and South American national teams have also been well represented in the new game.
